How Rove handles your data
A short, plain description of where your information goes.
What stays on your Mac
Your task history, workflows and their context, and the outputs and files Rove creates are stored locally on your Mac.
What is sent to do the work
Rove is not an offline-only assistant. To carry out a task, relevant context — such as your request, page content, screenshots, or files you select — may be sent to Codex/OpenAI and to services you authorize.
Your account
Rove uses Codex through your eligible ChatGPT account for model-assisted work. Your account's usage limits apply. Your use of Codex and OpenAI is governed by your agreement with OpenAI. No separate API key is needed.
Websites you use
When Rove uses a browser for a task, the sites involved see that activity as they would any visit. Some sites and services may ask you to sign in yourself.
This website
This website is hosted by Vercel, downloads are served by GitHub, and the Inter font is loaded from Google Fonts. Those providers receive the requests needed to serve their content under their own privacy policies. You don't need a website account, and this site doesn't ask you to submit tasks.
